Grégoire Juglaret, known as Greg, was born in 1985 and is originally from the Lyon region, in France.
He is widely recognized as one of the best competitive fly fishermen in France and internationally, but also as a teacher and ambassador of modern fly fishing.
Greg started fishing at a very young age, first as a hobby, before turning to competitive fly fishing, where he quickly distinguished himself through his precision, technique, and innovative approach.
He is known for his versatility and his ability to adapt to fast-flowing mountain waters as well as small, medium, and large trout and grayling rivers, not to mention natural lakes and reservoirs, where he excels.
A multiple French champion in the youth and adult categories, whether in fly tying, reservoir or river fishing, he joined the French team in 2009, the year France won the European Championship in Ireland, with Pascal Cognard as captain.
Since then, Grégoire has been on the international podium around twenty times, including five times on the top step with the French team.
He was world champion in the team event in 2017, 2019, 2023, 2024, and 2025, world vice-champion in the individual event in 2017 and 2025, and third in 2023 and 2024.
