Igor & Nadica Stancev Beetle (Coleoptera)

Igor & Nadica Stancev Beetle imitates the Common Red Soldier Beetle (Rhagonycha fulva), a beetle of the Cantharidae family that is frequently found near waterways between June and August, as it frequents forest edges and meadows.

They are sometimes found in large numbers on umbelliferous plants, which grow abundantly on the banks of our rivers.

This insect is sometimes blown by the wind towards the river, where it is a favourite food for trout.

Igor & Nadica Stancev Beetle is an excellent, highly visible pattern, ideal for targeting wild trout lying in wait along grassy banks.

It is also a popular pattern for rainbow trout in lakes and reservoirs, not to mention black bass and other chub.
