FMF Salty Mullet Tan & White
The Salty Mullet Grey & White is a streamer originally designed for freshwater predators but it has proved to be a real magnet for marine fish, primarily European sea bass.
Sea bass from the Bay of Morlaix and the Roadstead of Brest have found the both models (sizes #1/0 and #1/0) of this very fishy mullet imitation particularly to their liking.
It is also a must-have pattern for tropical marine fish. I tested this fly in the Bijagos archipelago where mullets are a major diet for predatory fish and the results were beyond my expectations.
Jacks, red snappers, ladyfish, groupers, mackerel and bonito loved it.

The Salty Mullet Tan & White streamer is a simple imitation of a roach or any similar kind of baitfish in fresh and saltwater.
It’s ideal for imitating the prey of perch, pike-perch (zander) and pike, but also European sea bass and tropical game fish.
This streamer is a true pike killer in brackish waters like on Rügen/Germany, or in Denmark and the South of Sweden during the cold season from October to February when pike are feeding on smaller fish.
The Salty Mullet Tan & White Streamer can be fished anyway you want to use it but my favorite animation is the following: Twitch it hard two or three times and let it sink for 3 to 5 seconds, depending on the depth allowing you to do so. Especially when fishing for big perch in cold water and for pike-perch, the extra-long holding phase will be deadly.
This color Tan & White is extremely effective when the water is crystal clear and of course on a sunny day.
