The Ten Footer Allround River & Stream 10’0”#4 is a multi-use rod that allows to juggle between mountain creeks, large rivers, lakes and reservoirs. It will work great with a weight forward floating line even better with a 4-weight TT line but a 4-weight DT will certainly have its uses, especially for water-borne casts.
Description
I had the dry fly, nymph and wet fly angler in medium-sized and large rivers mind when working on the concept of this rod.
It pairs power with a medium-fast action and a nice flex down the blank to cover most situations fishing for bigger fish in bigger waters, especially for trout and grayling.
Perfect for fast-water situations as well as Czech-nymphing techniques it can be used for longer distances as well as under the rod tip.
It effectively doubles a lightweight stillwater and reservoir rod using smaller flies.
The rod was equipped with lightweight RECOIL nickel titanium guides to reduce weight for under-the-rod-tip nymphing techniques, which was an option on this build. (+ 80€).
My advice
A multi-use rod that allows to juggle between mountain creeks, large rivers, lakes and reservoirs. It will work great with a weight forward floating line even better with a 4-weight TT line but a 4-weight DT will certainly have its uses, especially for water-borne casts.

The rod builder’s note
“Built lightweight, this long “4” is quite a multi-purpose rod and can certainly do it all, especially in capable hands. It will even digest a true 5-weight line for overhead and waterborne distance, if so required.”
