Fat Albert Black BFF™

The Fat Albert Black BFF™ is an all-purpose, big terrestrial model that I developed inspired by the various Fat Albert models I was able to use and test on the rivers of Brittany but especially Chilean Patagonia, where I spent several weeks guiding.

In these windy regions, trout feed mainly on terrestrial insects, grasshoppers and crickets.

The original Fat Albert was developed by Brent Taylor in Missouri, and is designed to mimic almost all terrestrial insects, which have a plump profile and lots of legs.

My version has proved so popular with wild brown trout (Salmo trutta fario), sea run browns (finnocks, Salmo trutta trutta), chub and largemouth bass that it has become a best seller.
