FMF Procter's Flip Flop Tussock Cicada White Wing

The FMF Procter's Flip Flop Tussock Cicada White Wing pattern also imitates our stink bugs, which are frequently found on the surface of lakes and rivers, especially in late summer.

A choice pattern for targeting large wild brown trout or rainbow trout on the lookout for those big bites.

Paul Procter's word:
Smaller than their larger cousins, tussock cicadas tend to occur in upland and more arid areas of New Zealand.
As a meaty mouthful they’re an important food source during summer.
Boasting a CdC underwing this pattern has the required ‘soft’ outline that suggests a struggling terrestrial and easy pickings for trout.
By the way, not only a pattern reserved for NZ, it’s worked just as well in other countries, including the UK, Iceland and Chile.

Directions for use:
The Procter's Flip Flop Tussock Cicada White Wing FMF is a model that imitates our sting bugs that are frequently found on the surface of lakes or rivers, especially at the end of summer.

An ideal model for large wild brown trout or lake rainbows on the lookout or searching for these big bites.

Use with a minimum tippet size of 0.15 mm (5X) to avoid twisting the leader during casting and breakages when striking large fish.

Trout take this type of imitation of bugs slowly and keep them in their mouths longer than an imitation of mayfly or caddis fly because they crush them before swallowing them.

Important:
Do not set the hook too quickly or you may remove the fly from the fish's mouth.
