The common denominator of the “pike lines,” Pike Taper, Musky Taper, and other Bass Taper lines is that they have a shortened, overloaded, and “aggressive” weight forward taper (WF) to facilitate propulsion and easy turnover of large flies in a few false casts.
They also load dedicated rods more quickly to save energy during long fishing sessions spent prospecting or blind casting.

Designed for cold water, these lines are also excellent for depth fly fishing for pike (mixed use possible).
The 250, 300 and 350 grain models are particularly interesting. All these sinking lines are easy to cast with the right rod and a little mastery of double haul, and now allow fly fishermen to cast their flies at depths once reserved for lure fishermen.
