Lough Style Special 10'0" line 5

Description
Like its name implies, the 10'0"#5 Lough Style Special (or Loch Style in Scottish Gaelic) is a specialized lake rod, deploying a team of flies from a drifting boat or from the bank.
Single fly use is certainly allowed, obviously !
It is the lightest of a series of 3 lake rods and adapted for finer work using floating, intermediate and hover lines with smaller flies, dries, wets, buzzers, crunchers, mini-lures, etc...
It works great with a WF-5 or even better with a TT-5 and shows can-do-everything properties, including respectable distance work beyond 20 meters in a few false casts.
Sensitive tipped, the angler can feel the slightest nibble and the great power reserves give the upper hand when fighting strong fish, be they wild Irish browns or feral reservoir rainbows in British reservoirs or Drennec lake.

My advice
It’s the perfect long rod for classic fisheries, lakes and reservoirs, bank or boat fishing, wading or “Lough Style“, with moderate winds, small flies and fine tippets (0,15 mm).
Like many rods it loves a slow or fast intermediate or hover line to discreetly retrieve a team of wets or nymphs across weed beds.

Thread wraps: Cobalt blue with metallic blue accents.
