Most multi-piece persuasions (in 5 and more sections) of this length and line weight are a common find but quality angling tools among those are harder to obtain, the ferrules oftentimes adding weight and unwanted stiffness to the blank, producing heavier, and much stiffer rods.
The Celtic Trout Traveler 9'0"#5, 7 pieces, although in multiple sections plays a bit in a separate field as it does offer a great progressive semi-fast action with a fairly lightweight blank without being overly stiff, anglers can still use finer tippets, without having to fear unwanted breakoffs.

Description
One can safely say that the 9-foot 5-weight is THE all around trout rod and worldwide sales of 905 models confirm this.
Most multi-piece persuasions (in 5 and more sections) of this length and line weight are a common find but quality angling tools among those are harder to obtain, the ferrules oftentimes adding weight and unwanted stiffness to the blank, producing heavier, and much stiffer rods.
The Celtic Trout Traveler "The Aulne" 9'0"#5, 7 pieces, although in multiple sections plays a bit in a separate field as it does offer a great progressive semi-fast action with a fairly lightweight blank without being overly stiff, anglers can still use finer tippets, without having to fear unwanted breakoffs.
The inherent power in the blank allows great control on any sized wild trout weighing several pounds, windy days not being too problematic, either. The Aulne is the name of a local river I am particularly attached to.

My advice
This is a sleek addition to any travelling angler’s rod quiver: it’s definitely multi-use, comes in a compact kit that will fit into any piece of luggage. This way you can keep it ready for action within minutes. It’s a great rod for dry fly fishing from close distance tout to longer reaches, 60 feet and beyond and it can be fed weight forward, double taper or triangle tapered lines anywhere trout swim on this planet.
Ideally and owing to multiple ferrules, it likes lines a bit on the heavier side, the Snowbee Thistledown 5-7 being particularly well suited.

The rod builder’s note
“Super multi-piece rods always area compromise between added weight/stiffness and good action, this blank one is no exception, physics are physics and such is life. However, these blanks differ a bit: although they carry a few grams more around the waist, they remain a great choice as the blank is not overly stiff yet pretty quick, the action keeps a certain sweetness allowing for very nice casts, possibly beyond the distances the rod was made for, a somewhat longer handle allows the angler to find his personal balance point, shorter cork would have been a bit of a hindrance. Loop and line control are great and the inherent action of the rod begs for water-borne casts and a bit more “triangular”-tapered lines. Accuracy is pretty good, especially with lines that are a tad heavier in the belly than the rod number calls for. Control on fish is impressive, especially on bigger specimen – then: the thing packs anywhere: no excuses anymore!”
