When fishing the grassy beds which are common on most flats many of the Crabs are olive in colour.
The Creole Crab in Olive is the go to fly. Drop it into the sandy pockets and hold on. Bonefish and Permit go crazy for these.
It is also a great pattern to stalk European sea bass in estuaries, but can also be slowly retrieved with a jerky motion close to the bottom to target sea breams (gilthead and black), species that are more and more numerous on the Channel coastlines.
An excellent model for sight fishing for sea bass in Breton (Brittany) estuaries and wherever European sea bass feed on green crabs and other crustaceans.
