Hare's Ear CDC Florian C9

The Hare's Ear CDC Florian C9 is an all-purpose fly that can be used for both trout and grayling.

It also works in lakes and reservoirs when trout are picking up buzzers on the surface

It is an emerging pattern that can imitate a mayfly, a diptera or even a terrestrial insect.

Carefully crafted by professional fly tyer Florian from the finest natural materials sourced from his farm:

• Body in hare's ear dubbing ribbed with thin gold tinsel.

How to use:
Depending on whether you grease it or not, it fishes higher or lower in the film.

It's a model that remains clearly visible in currents and dries out in a few false casts thanks to the quality of the materials used.

If I only had 3 or 4 Florian flies in my box, this would undoubtedly be one of my must-haves.

With its light grey CDC wing, it fishes in the film while remaining highly visible.

In sizes #14 and #16, it's an excellent fly for blind casting and covering fish lies, on edges or in front of rocks.

In size #18, it is one of the best grayling dry fly I know, Thymallus seeming to particularly appreciate the flashes generated by the few turns of thin gold tinsel ribbing the hare's ear body.

The more fish it catches, the lower it fishes and the more effective it is.

Recommended tippet diameters: ø 0.14 to ø 0.08 mm depending on the size of the fly.
