To bring this lure fly to life, it should be retrieved in jerks, stripping more or less vigorously, so that the fibers in the body palmer and the long tail in marabout feather barbs vibrate optimally.

The fluorescent orange bead at the head tips the fly and generates a splash on impact.

With a floating line, if you manage to cast a tight line, leader and tippet at a distance, it is not a bad idea to let the fly sink a little while maintaining control before starting to retrieve it.

For those who feel comfortable retrieving by knotting the line (figure of eight) at a slow or fast speed (which means you never let go of the line so you can stay in contact with your fly), they can then get the most out of this highly effective fly.
