Florian Surface Nymph Dark Olive NS OF

The Florian Dark Olive surface nymph NS OF is a very light nymph pattern, particularly effective during hatches of small dark olive mayflies, when nymphs drift on the surface before undergoing metamorphosis.

A pattern to pull out when all the classics have been ignored and the fish are “working” just below the surface.

Can also be used as a dropper nymph on a tight line (Euronymphing).

Carefully crafted by professional fly tier Florian using the finest natural materials from his own breeding farm:
• Dark olive thread ribbed with light olive thread
• V-shaped tail made from pardo rooster fibers
• Thorax and wing case: light olive dubbing + dark feather fibers folded forward
• Legs: olive-dyed guinea fowl feather fibers.
• Tied on a chemically sharpened carbon hook with unparalleled sharpness.

Tips for use:
Cast upstream on rises, emerging nymphs feeders or sight fishing on active fish moving below the surface.

At the end of a long leader, degrease the last 50 cm of the fluorocarbon or nylon tippet.

The nymph is very light and may float if the cast is delicate.

You can also wet it slightly to help it sink. Set the hook when you see the fish move, when the leader stops drifting or when you feel a tug (upstream nymph) or when you see the fish rise.

Recommended tippet diameters: ø 0.14 to ø 0.08 mm depending on conditions
