With the thinning of the ozone layer in many parts of the world, UV rays are increasingly aggressive to our skin, a radiation phenomenon often accentuated by reflection.... and tropical areas are not the only ones concerned.
This is why it is more important than ever to protect yourself from UV rays in a systematic way.
The new materials/fabrics treated against UV rays are the best alternative to applying sunscreen, which is not always convenient and must be renewed every two hours to be effective.
Simms SolarFlex® fabrics effectively protect you from UV (UPF 50) and keep your skin cool, a real comfort under intense heat.

UPF stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor and indicates how much of the sun’s UV radiation is absorbed.
A fabric with a rating of 50 will allow only 1/50th of the sun’s UV rays to pass through
This means the fabric will reduce your skin’s UV radiation exposure significantly.
All of our UPF finishes last the life of the garment, an industry standard of 30 washings.
