Its strength is unmatched for its diameter: a 0.104 mm has a strength of 2.16kg (4.8lbs), equivalent to the strength of a 0.140 mm of most US brands.

For delicate river and lake fishing, this is an undeniable advantage. You can fish much thinner with the same strength and still get the most realistic and discreet presentation.

For example, you can fish nymphs with a 0.090 mm line with a resistance of 1.68 kg (3.7 lbs) where you would use a 0.127 mm line of other brands.

For ultra-fine dry fly fishing with micro flies, you can go down to 0.080mm or 0.069 mm where you wouldn't venture below 7X (0.104 mm) with other fluorocarbons.

Its very high abrasion resistance is particularly appreciated, which makes it the reference line for fly fishing for sea bass, a species that frequents particularly dense environments: rocks, sea grass beds, metal structures of oyster beds and mussel poles.

Here again, it is possible to fish much finer than with "mainstream" fluoros. The 0.205 mm with its 6.75 kg of resistance (15lbs) has the strength of a 0.30 mm! A real asset for all sight fishing in clear water and/or with small ultra-realistic imitations: mysis, shrimp, crabs, galatheas, fry, etc.
