Floating Willow Tree Caterpillar YLF Flies

The Floating Willow caterpillar YLF Flies imitates the green oak leaf roller (Tortrix viridana), a small caterpillar measuring approximately 20 mm at the end of its development, green with a black head and small black warts on its body.

It is found almost exclusively on pedunculate oak trees an willow trees, where it feeds on buds and then leaves.

Along riverbanks, it frequently falls into the water, especially when the wind is gusty, during a period stretching from mid-April to mid-June.

This can completely change the diet of trout.

Wild trout can literally gorge themselves on them, whether the caterpillars are floating or submerged, carried away by the current.

An essential imitation if you don't want to miss out on a miraculous catch.
