Drowned Willow Tree Caterpillar Nymph YLF Flies

The Drowned Willow caterpillar Nymph YLF Flies imitates the green oak leaf roller (Tortrix viridana), a small caterpillar measuring approximately 20 mm at the end of its development, green with a black head.

It is found almost exclusively on pedunculate oak trees an willow trees, where it feeds on buds and then leaves.

Along riverbanks, it frequently falls into the water, especially when the wind is gusty, during a period stretching from mid-April to mid-June.

This can completely change the diet of trout.

Drowned and swept away by the current, wild trout can literally gorge themselves on them.

To be used with a tight line Euro Nymph strategy with a 2-fly rig.

Watch out for bites at the start of the drift!

An essential imitation if you don't want to miss out on a miraculous catch.
