Premium 100% fluorocarbon pike fly leader Brittany Fly Fishing™

These leaders are made by myself from the best tippet materials and are designed for pike fishing.

They are also perfectly suited to tropical fly fishing for toothy fish up to 20 kg (Jack Crevalle, Red Snapper, etc.)

With a total length of 2,20 m/2,30 m (7’22”/7’55“), they are directly connectable loop in loop to your fly line.

The assembly is carefully done with a perfection loop in a perfection loop connection between the butt and the class tippet and with a cobranagle connection between the class tippet and the shock-tippet, i.e. the anti-tooth leader.

The end of the shock-tippet is free (no clip/snap) to make a "mushroom" attachment loop (see last 3 pictures) which is very practical and stealthy.

The Butt:
Length: 90/95 cm.
Material: RIO Fluoroflex Saltwater 40 lbs/20 kg (0.635 mm)

The Class Tippet (the thinnest part of the leader which determines its real strength)
Length: 60 cm.
Material: Scientific Anglers Absolute Saltwater/Salmon 30lbs/13,6 kg (0.48 mm)

The Shock Tippet
Length: 65 cm (for those who want to break an IGFA record, the maximum length allowed is 38.10 cm/15 inches including knots).
Material: Scientific Anglers Absolute Fluorocarbon Shock 80lbs/36.3kg (0.85 mm)

*The connection between the Class Tippet and the Shock Tippet is made with a Cobranagle, a nice knot (see pictures) which has an excellent resistance and is relatively thin and stealthy and keeps the two elements in the axis.
I tie a Bimini Twist on the Class Tippet which is pulled through a Double Overhand Knot (double figure eight knot). The finish is made with a weave with the two strands of the Bimini Twist loop (0.48 mm) on the shock tippet (0.85 to 0.90 mm)
