Florian's MixWing C1P is a mix between a CDC and a palmer.

It imitates both a gray mayfly and a small adult stonefly.

Its silhouette is reminiscent of the famous American Elk Hair Caddis, with the addition of a tail

This fly pattern fishes high on the water and is highly visible when coated with waterproofing.

The quality of the natural materials used in its construction means that it dries quickly with a few false casts.

Florian's MixWing C1P is a very effective fly in fast, clear water, highly prized by trout and grayling in French, Austrian alpine streams and Scandinavian waters, and more generally wherever fish are feeding in the current.

With its yellow body ribbed with a stiff, shiny natural gray hackle, its natural gray CDC fibers wing, and its pardo medio tail, this fly fishes high on the water and is highly visible when coated with waterproofing.

Carefully crafted by professional fly tier Florian from the finest natural materials sourced from his own farm:
• Natural gray CDC wing
• Lacquered yellow silk body wrapped with a natural gray rooster hackle.
• Tail made from pardo medio rooster fiber.
• Black thread head.
• Tied on a chemically sharpened carbon hook with a sharp point

Tips for use: An essential model for whitewater.
Ideally used with a high rod at short range, with little line and leader on the water.
The leader should be regularly greased with products such as Tiemco Shimazaki Leader Grease or Mucilin.

As soon as it starts to sink, the fly should be dried by false casting and in a piece of amadou (or equivalent), then dipped in a floating/waterproofing lotion such as:
• Tiemco Dry Dip Super
• Dry-Shake Liquid Tiemco Shimazaki
• High N Dry Floating Liquid

Recommended hook sizes: ø 0.16 to ø 0.12 mm depending on the size of the fly.
