Florian Stéphan is a professional fly tier internationally recognized for the quality and durability of his flies, his innovative designs that have proven themselves over time, and the excellent quality of the materials he uses. 

Florian is a child of nature, particularly the ponds, rivers, and forests of Anjou, the region where he has lived all his life with his wife and children.

Passionate about fishing, hunting, horse riding and good food, Florian has the unique distinction of producing the vast majority of the materials used in his artificial flies himself.

His breeding of Limousin grey roosters and Pardo roosters, not to mention ducks, peacocks, guinea fowl, etc., is a model of success.

He uses high-quality natural materials, including other hairs, fur, and feathers that he collects after hunting trips and from his network of hunter friends.

As a result, Florian has been carefully and passionately crafting a collection of dry flies, emergers, surface nymphs, wet flies, and streamers for over half a century, covering most fishing situations for trout, grayling, and other fish that feed on the surface.

Most of the major families of aquatic insects are imitated with skill and originality.

To my great delight, I have been using Florian flies for as long as they have been around, both when guiding my clients and on my own fishing trips. I catch and help others catch more than 70% of the trout in Brittany with Florian flies.

I have my favorites, even though all of them have proven their effectiveness in both hemispheres at one time or another.

The N1 and N1N Hare's Ears are essential, as is the Drag sedge series, not to mention the C9K (CDC Khaki) and C9 (CDC Hare's Ear), and the EM4 (Emerging Olive), which are real magnets for trout and grayling.
